Will Australia have a double dissolution before the next election?
Background: Australia's Labor Government does not have a Senate majority, which means it must rely on either the Opposition or the minor parties to pass legislation. When an impasse is reached, the governement can either compromise or call a double dissolution to break the deadlock.
The last double dissolution was in 1987 and the most controversial was the Whitlam dismissal in 1975.
