I would agree to such questions only if all bets on them are public. Otherwise they don't seem fair and could be easily gamed by the players in contest. It is impossible to wagger when H$200 is public and H$6,279 is hidden.

OK, here you go. I made all my predictions public and will do so with any future predictions. I believe in betting on the underdog, but I am not a dog here at all. Like I said, just a decoy. No realistic chance. I'll be too busy with real life the next few weeks, so I'm NOT a FACTOR here, I just thought it was a fun question.

Don't count orlin out, he probably could bump up his totals in a hurry by a few strategically placed megabets. randburg is not out of reach either, if he wanted to, but being a true gentleman, he is staying clear of this question.

How is that "gentlemanly" to not participate in a contest in which others believe you to be a participant?

iman - it has to do with the possible gaming of the question. right now ( june 23rd 2 am EST) $120,654 seperate elly and orlin. (1st and 2nd place) $166,225 seperate elly and randburg. (1st and 3rd place) they could change positions multiple times before this questions settles. i have no reason to believe any of them would game the question. randburg decided to pull out so theres was no doubt on his part. i don't know if elly or orlin has money on the question. i reckon if they wanted to they could game it. with elly at 82% with one day left it would be hard to pull off.

@Diesel: To clarify my comment, I was not addressing whether any of the aforementioned had money riding on this particular question.

How does a player go from $220,000 to $1,019,000 in two days? STIJ9174 only had $68,000 to start the 2nd quarter and made that giant leap of over 400% since Wednesday of this week. It just doesn't add up...

Administrators, does anybody know what's going on? I think somebody hacked your system. I don't think it is possible to generate such incredible moves in such a short time. If you bet enough on a question, the odds quickly become such that you get to a point of rapidly diminishing returns.
Would someone please check into this??

So stlj9174 probably placed bets on some extreme long shot odds (<0.5%). Any sports fans know of huge movements in odds lately, perhaps an outcome previously considered impossible jumping to the +90% range by either good fortune for the new front runner or unfortunate circumstances for the leading team(s).

It would be interesting to solve this mystery and determine (with 20/20 hindsight) if this was just dumb-luck or insightfully well placed bets on a position(s) stlj9174 believed had a slim chance of big payouts.

Remember some people keep a lot of their bets private. stlj9174 last logged in yesterday and has made the majority of his money on one market. We'll take a look and make sure everything is on the up and up because that's is a very sizeable sum of h$ to make in a short amount of time.

i agree with f-o-f. it could be done legitly, but it does raise a red flag. i haven't looked at every settled question. recently the USA had a upset in soccer. so lets say he bet big on the USA. there should be a big spike in the money bet on the USA. heck of alot easiar for the admin to check his/her wagers than to have a regular member go through all the settled questions to see where he/she did it. if done legitly big congrads to stlj9174. big sorry to those with wagers on a few of the who will gain how much questions. stlj9174 mighta spoiled your wagers.

Now stlj9174 is on the Net Worth leaderboard but not on the Quarterly Gain leaderboard. Also no personal icon or link to his member page. Is this part of the stealth member problem? If it stays like this until July 1, does he count for this question? Are there any Administrators available to clearify this situation?
