Where will missing New Zealand, kiwi couple with 6 Million New Zealand $ be found?

Settled as elsewhere, nowhere, another outcome (eg.one caught)

The couple's last known whereabouts is Hong Kong, but they haven't been found, and the manhunt goes on. (http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/2607012/Wreckage-in-millionaire-runaways-wake)

Background:

Background: Does the woman next door speak with a "funny, not quite British, accent," spend money like a Diva, but can't hold a note like Kiri Te Kanawa. Could she be one of the following couple?
A couple was given 6 Million New Zealand dollars in a banking mistake. The couple absconded , even though they are (were) on a far off isolated island. It really is not known yet whether they actually left New Zealand, as far as I know, but the following article gives more info. Now the question is: where and/or if, will they be caught (or turn themselves in), with or without their money. Nothing to do with any case against them.

Police in New Zealand say a couple has disappeared after their bank mistakenly deposited more than $6 million into their account. Detective David Harvey says police have contacted Interpol for assistance in locating the couple, who are believed to have left the country.

Police and bank officials say the couple applied for a $6,000 bank overdraft. But Westpac bank accidentally deposited 1,000 times that amount into their business account.

Harvey said Westpac Bank recovered some of the funds, but did not say how much the couple withdrew before disappearing.

The bank said it has started an internal investigation to prevent similar mistakes in the future. DUH

Anyone know which category the Cayman Islands would fall under? Is that other?

Apparently this is quite common here - even the prime minister's wife had a cheeky mil dropped in her account a few years back - a lot of stories are coming out. So if i suddenly disappear one day, that will most probably be what's happened :D

hi cookie,
I would say, for the purposes of this question, as it is written, it would imply last option, elsewhere, etc. as North, South and central America are very explicit. but hd staff, as usual would settle this,

By the way, anyone know why my tags are not showing up? Just no news, or did i put them in wrong?

Thats weird, there is definitely lots of news floating around about this story, so idk why your tags wouldn't be showing it up...my favourite story (and just to show it happens a lot here) is this kiwi couple who returned $99 million that was accidentally put in their account a few years back...

I think it serves westpac right, if theese mistakes are made on a regular basis it was only a matter of time before this happened, perhaps theese mistakes will finally come to a stop.

I reckon theres a better than 8% chance of it being NZ...one of their family members just came home on a flight yesterday...the crims could well do the same if they give up!!

I dont get it - the question is 'found' - ie located, whereas settle appears to be where will they be 'caught' ie - arrested.

What if these people go to the NZ embassy in china and then get flown back to NZ and arrested by NZ police - in that scenario I think they are 'found' in China, but only 'caught' in NZ?

Clarification please?
