I never watch American Idol but I did watch most of last night's show. Adam's "We Are The Champions" performance really got me out of my chair!

Adam would be perfect for Queen, to front them and extend their performance life for some number of years. So I bet a little on Yes. But I'm kinda thinking he might explore various other options first, because he is so versatile. Queen's kinda getting old/passe and Adam is new/vibrant. I'll look forward to reading other opinions here.

I compared Adam to Freddie Mercury a few weeks ago when everyone was calling him too theatrical and "a screamer." Queen was amazing and their theatrics and "screams" (or insane vocals) are part of what I love about them, but I never imagined Adam would actually step in and fill Freddie's shoes. Now I'm getting excited. He would be sooo perfect. He's the only singer I've heard that could nail all the ridiculous notes in classic Queen songs, and he could work with the band to make some new Queen tunes. I'm sure they'd be unbelievable and Adam would quickly become Idol turned Icon. The only problem I could foresee is the 30 year age difference between Adam and the rest of the band.
