The reason for this was the hype and the word of mouth of how amazing Batman Begins was. Seeing as Batman Begins grossed about a third of The Dark Knights total and half its domestic, my question is based of Transformers being in the same situation as the Batman films were, Will Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen gross ONE BILLION DOLLARS WORLDWIDE?

You may want to consider that the first already got a massive $319,246,193 domestic and $389,026,399 foreign for a worldwide total of $708,272,592.

Only four movies have ever grossed 1 billion worldwide: Titanic, LOTR Return of the King, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, The Dark Knight....I don't think Transformers will have the longevity to reach that mark
