Will Sir Alan Sugars appointment as Enterprise Tsar cause a conflict of interest with The Apprentice

Background: Sir Alan Sugar has just been appointed Enterprise Tsar by Gordon Brown. It is billed as a "non-political" position whereby he acts as an advisor rather than a policy maker. The question has arisen that there could be a conflict of interest with this position and his role in the BBC show "The Apprentice" considering the neutral nature of the BBC.

I presume that if the General Election comes when the Apprentice is meant to be running on TV and the BBC has to pull it because of the rules on balance for political parties that will count as "Yes he gives up the Apprentice?"
