How Many More Suspected Terrorists from Gitmo will be Tried on US Soil in 2009?

Background: The first Guantanamo Bay detainee to be brought to the United States for trial has pleaded not guilty in two embassy bombings.

Ahmed Ghailani entered the plea Tuesday in federal court in Manhattan. He was brought to the United States under heavy guard earlier in the day.

Ghailani is charged with participating in the bombing of two U.S. embassies in Africa in August 1998. The bombings killed more than 224 people, including 12 Americans.

Authorities say he helped build one of the bombs.
