Will the Kaczynski diaries be sold at auction?
No reports indicate the diaries have yet been auctioned
Background:>
Kaczynski is nearing the end of a five-year battle with U.S. authorities over the sale of his personal possessions, which also include tools, typewriters and clothing.
The so-called Unabomber was arrested in 1996 after a 17-year manhunt.
During that time he sent 16 mail bombs - killing three people and injuring 23.
Proceeds from the auction would go to four surviving victims of the attacks who are owed $15m in restitution by Kaczynski.
Kaczynski's 40,000 pages of diaries and writings are thought to be the most valuable of the auction items.
Kaczynski is serving life imprisonment in the Supermax jail in Florence, Colorado, where other inmates include British shoe-bomber Richard Reid.
