conservatives_suck Will a transferred detainee from GITMO escape from a US penal or holding facility by 2011?
Background: By the end of 2010, will a prisoner/detainee transferred from the Guantanamo prison camp to a US prison or holding facility escape from that facility?
Fear mongers charge that it is dangerous to transfer these untried and therefore "innocent until proven guilty" detainees to US prisons despite the nearly flawless history of our maximum security prisons. They fear such a radical terrorist will escape and wreak havoc on US soil, or perhaps be found "innocent" once here and released into our society.
This question is intended to cover only the question of the possible escape of a detainee from one of our homeland facilities by the end of year 2010. It does not cover the possible recapture of the detainee following escape, or the legal release of a detainee onto US soil following a trial... merely the successful escape from a facility even if recaptured quickly outside the facility.
