Which party will win the Glasgow North East by-election?
Background: Following the resignation of Michael Martin as Speaker of the House of Commons, a parliamentary by-election is to be held in Glasgow North East. The writ for the by-election has yet to be moved, but according to an article in the Guardian, the by-election will be held before the end of September. The starting odds are the result of the constituency the last time all parties contested the seat in 1997 in percent.

What I do not agree to is that Labour have a 1 in 30 chance of winning the by-election whereas John Smeaton is practically a dead cert.
I mean... what is wrong with you people? (Should I add an emoticon here to make it seem as if I'm joking or do you guys get the intended lightness of my accusation without such internet niceties?).
As for Smeaton, I suppose we will need to look at the ballot paper for the official answer - 'Jury Team' is an unusual approach for a 'party', but normally this question (and the Question) would be clear. The Times today refers to him as the Jury Team candidate, but I think that might still have him listed formally as an Independent. It also says the bookies overwhelmingly favor Labour...
Between her, Huhne, and Clegg I am seriously re-evaluating why I tend to support the Lib Dems...
