Background:

Background: Michael Jackson Google News Stream: http://tinyurl.com/n538lz

The first doctor who found Michael already has a question about his.. involvement. But there seems to be so many medicines, so many medical questions. Perhaps some doctor somewhere wrote those perscriptions and will be caught? (sinpped from ladylara) Or the Pharmacist filling blank prescriptions? Or the bodyguards allowing Michael to fill prescriptions under their name? Appears there will turn out to be a large number of people complicit in Micheal's death. But will anyone actually be charged?

I'm missing something: what is the significance of 9/9/09? I take it that this date is important for some reason...

I selected 9/9/09 for the 'numeric novelty' of the date (plus it also provides a nice nine week run for this question to run its course). The fact that 9/9/09 is also Tuff_Sledding's birthday is frosting on the metaphorical cake! :-)

kruijs, it's been very convenient indeed, as I moved from europe to candada to the usa not to have to change the way I write the date of my bd!

Police look for evidence of manslaughter in Michael Jackson's death
July 22, 2009 | Los Angeles Times

A search warrant executed today at the Houston offices of Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's personal doctor, indicates that authorities are investigating "the offense of manslaughter" in relation to the pop star's death, Murray's attorney said. The statement by attorney Edward Chernoff is the strongest indication yet that investigators are considering serious criminal charges against anyone connected with Jackson's sudden death June 25.

“We can confirm that a search warrant was executed today on Dr. Murray’s offices in Houston Texas," Chernoff said in a statement. "We reviewed the warrant and remained on the premises while the search was being executed. The search was conducted by members of the DEA, two Robbery-Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department and Houston Police officers. The search warrant authorized law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter. Law enforcement concluded their search around 12:30 p.m., and left with a forensic image of a business computer hard drive and 21 documents. None of the documents taken had previously been requested by law enforcement or the L.A. Coroner’s office."

It was announced today that an overdose of propofol killed MJ. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2009/08/25/ST2009082501437.html) The coroner has even gone so far as to rule his death a homicide. I think it'll be a yes...
