What will be the status of the nuclear power plant in Krümmel/Germany by July 2010?
Background: On July 4th, the AKW Krümmel (east of Hamburg) had been deactivated due to a transformator-problem.
The owner, Vattenfall, has been accused of being unable to properly handle the plant and political demands have been voiced that Krümmel should be taken off the grid prior to the scheduled date in 2016.
At the moment, the plant is being thoroughly inspected and, according to Vattenfall, won't be switched on again prior to April 2010.
