Does it matter how a President's name is used? For example: If he says, "I was talking to Michelle yesterday in the Lincoln bedroom and she said...."

Would that be one for Lincoln? Would that count as one President being named?

Didnt think about that frankly.
But my idea is that would not count as he is naming a bedroom, as in Hoover dam he names a dam, not a president.

Youbet. It should be no matter what the context is. That is what your predessorsers did.

Eg. " Hoover built a dam ", then he names a president.
The fact that the dam is named after Hoover was a nice 'gesture' towards Hoover but is not what I had and have in mind with this Q , and for more, I think it becomes irrational and confusing.

Eg. it gets worse in the case of " our beloved and remembered -John, son- of Joe and Rose.
In my opinion that would count as 1 for Kennedy, in yours it would count 2, for Kennedy and Johnson.

Ok youbet, you win. I only brought it up because when I use the "Find" function to search the pages of Obama's speeches it's easier to count the words we are looking for if we don't have to read for the context as well.

Really? I didn't hear any, voted on 2, and never had so much fun watching a speech! Lots of $ riding on that tie color- teeheeteehee... But seriously, I am pleased with the health care debate and the strength Obama showed. Fantastic speaker!

In my opinion, and as I had in mind, Cleveland and Washington dont count because he didnt mean former Presidents.
He mentioned the "Bush administration" which is an adminstration, but its synonymous with President Bush. That, IMO again, would settle as 1.

Sorry! It takes time to build up to 1000 bets.. At least you get a daily 20 just to see what else is going on.
