President Obama Primetime Press Conf. 7/22/09:What Color Tie Will Obama Wear?

Settled as Red

Background: Excited about contributing to the inaugural hubdub tag race with an oldie style question - the great 'tie' color question.

This question will refer to the PREDOMINANT background color of the tie, regardless of whether there are different colored patterns on the tie (eg stripes or dots). The other option is really supposed only for situations where there is no tie/it is not visible/press conference does not go ahead/color not listed.

Settlement details:As reported by a major mainstream news source, or verified by photos of the event.

hi, tisha, I am the other tie question writer also happily playing tag. How much fun can one news conference be?

Against the red of the station logo it looked purple pinkish, but I would make it a red call as that is more probable... and I just lost some. But it was fun!!

Well, not sure so much fun, when it looks totally purple to me, and others are calling it red.
Can anyone tell me an objective way to distinguish?
