Will Bud Selig lift the lifetime Baseball Ban on Pete Rose in 2009?

Background: Pete Rose was banned from baseball in 1989 for betting on baseball. He was one of the greatest players to have had ever played. Among his records are most hits 4,256, games played 3,562 and most at bats 14,053. He earned three World Series Rings, three batting titles and one MVP Award.

If baseball commissioner Bud Selig lifts the ban on Rose he will be eligible to be voted into the Hall of Fame. This question only wants to know if Selig will lift the ban on Pete Rose this year.

Charlie Hustle should have been in the Hall years ago. Many of today's players use steroids, cork their bats, and exhibit conduct off the field that would land anyone else in jail. Every one of those losers will be eligible for the Hall of Fame. Pete won't because he bet on a few games. That's just beyond ridiculous.
