Are the oxycotin Skittle found in Tampa related to those found in Alaska?

Background: A 4 year old girl in Tampa was found to have ingested oxycotin that was in a resealed bag of Tropical Skittles. So far investigators have no idea what happened. However, in Alaska, a man has been arrested and charged for having repackaged bags of Skittles shipped to via FedEx. Are these cases related or are they isolated incidents?

Interesting story.
I believe the two cases are probably related, but I doubt if they will be found to be related by any investigator or court.
The Florida package of Skittles has probably been ruined as a source of forensic evidence by the normal actions of a 4 y/o girl handling the package.

Josh D. Anderson's trial is set for February - http://www.courtrecords.alaska.gov/pa/pa.urd/pamw2000.docket_lst?12889157 .
And unless the family is lying about where the 4 year old got her "candy" from, I doubt the police will get anywhere if there hasn't been any news since July.
I doubt the cases are related. If Anderson is not brought up on charges in the Florida case, can we assume the cases are not related even if the perpetrator of the Florida crime is not determined?
