The second leading receiver in NFL history waits by the phone...
Marv and his magical hands wait for a chance to go back to work, but there isn't a team in the NFL with a need for a sticky-fingered vet who knows more about getting open than all but a few.
He turned 37 Tuesday, and while Marv is never going to catch 100 balls again, like he did for four straight years from 1999-2002 for the Indianapolis Colts. He caught 60 Manning passes last year for an average of 10+ yards. He wasn't great last year, but he was effective.
You wonder how much or little concerns over Harrison's temperment or the episode in his native Philadelphia where someone shot Harrison's gun at a patron of Harrison's bar who looked to start some trouble with the occasionally ill-tempered future Hall of Famer.
Or is he a Hall of Famer? How can a guy be elected to the Hall when no one will hire him to ply his wares when he is still able - or mostly able?
