Will STS-128 be the last nighttime space shuttle launch?
Background: Space Shuttle Discovery's next launch is expected to occur August 28, 2009 at 11:59 pm. It is scheduled to be the last nighttime launch. However, Endeavour's planned February 4, 2010, launch is scheduled to occur during morning twilight. Delays to that launch could cause it to occur during darkness.
Nighttime will be defined as the time from 24 minutes after sunset until 24 minutes before the next morning's sunrise. Sunset and sunrise times will be those for Kennedy Space Center.
