Which tyre manufacturer will be the first to be confirmed as official F1 supplier from 2011?

Background: Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone Corp said it would quit Formula One next year, dealing a further blow to the sport after the recent withdrawal of other high-profile firms due to the global downturn.

Bridgestone said it would end its contract as the official tyre supplier to the FIA, raising questions over who would replace it after French rival Michelin pulled out in 2006 and US maker Goodyear left in 1998.

What will happen if two or more tyre suppliers will be announced (like Michelin and Bridgestone were before 2006 for some years).

now you put it this way, I recognize that to put "first" into the question may not be enough. it could settle "other", or eventually double settle. that's up to the admit.

@noozdude: "tyre" is spelled correctly... only here in the USA we are used to seeing the "tire" version. Another example of how "America and England are two nations divided by a common language." :-)
