WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, will attend a memorial service in Fort Hood, Texas, on Tuesday for victims of a mass shooting. The White House announced the trip on Saturday. Obama is scheduled to depart on Wednesday on an Asia tour.

That SOUNDS like he made a point of meeting everyone involved in the shooting. Did he meet Kim Munley on Tuesday in conjunction with the Fort Hood Memorial?
Anyway, thank God the United States still doesn't officially allow women in full active combat roles; Kim Mundy is further proof that females, lacking the ability and willingness to shoot anyone, would simply wilt if faced with live fire. They'd be ineffective at best, and detrimental to mission success at worst. :-\
Not a surprise to me - he has always had a disdain for the military.
(I am going to make a bundle on this question - finally)
However, I applaud his demeanor at Arlington today, while honoring the tradition of laying the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier.
Good job, mate.
As it turns out, Sgt. Kimberly D. Munley, the Ft. Hood Army Base police officer who was credited as a hero for taking down Maj. Nidal Hasan, the accused killer of 13 people, may not have actually shot Hasan.
But she will still be considered courageous in the eyes of many people for chasing the alleged gunman in order to stop the rampage.
As it turns out, another officer who responded to the emergency, Senior Sgt Mark Todd, is being credited by an eyewitness for putting Hasan on his back. The New York Times interviewed Todd on Thursday.
