
From which region will the next elected Asian UN Security Council member be?
Background: In October 2009, Lebanon was elected to the UN Security Council. They will replace Vietnam in the 2010-11 term. Asia was represented for the 2009-10 term by Japan. Traditionally, one Arab nation is represented. So, the new member is not expected to be an Arab nation.
Nations cannot serve consecutive terms.
