Background:

Background: (AP) U.S. country music star Charlie Daniels is recovering from a mild stroke he suffered while snowmobiling in Colorado, his Web site says.

The singer, fiddler and guitarist is best known for his 1979 hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." That same year he was featured in the John Travolta movie "Urban Cowboy."The statement says the 73-year-old Daniels suffered the stroke Friday. He was first treated at a hospital in Durango, then airlifted to a Denver hospital. He was released on Sunday.

The statement says Daniels doesn't plan to cancel any concerts. His next appearance is scheduled for Feb. 27.

At this point it looks like the show will go on, but I'm willing to wager that it's probably too early to tell. Market will settle as YES if the February 27, 2010 show happens. Will settle as NO if the February 27, 2010 concert is cancelled/postponed for any reason (even if it's not medically related).

Settlement details:As reported by a major mainstream news source.

Oh, right.

He referred to the "Devil" as a "Son of a gun" rather than " Son of a Bitch" , that makes him "politically correct" before political correctness.
@ cici you were thinking of JIM DANIELS

@Ghostbuster - right you are. When you said Jim I had him confused with Jim Collins who palled around with Jim Rummy.
