with Chelokee, who broke down Friday in an undercard race before the Kentucky Oaks and Eight Belles Killed on the field after coming in second alot of buzz is hitting the internet bashing the world of horse racing. all this comes with the death of Barbaro still fresh in everyones mind

"Killed" has a negative connotation, IIRC.
"euthanized" would be a more correct term, imho.

Yep these Beautiful animals are being exploited for the enjoyment of Rich fat old men and drunk medicated housewifes that wear Stupid looking oversized hats!! these horses need another year or two to strengthen their muscles and tendons three is to young. Plus it is less dangerous for them to run " slower tracks" I hope this does get settled as yes.

I am surprised this hasn't been settled yet. I saw a report during the Preakness today where PETA had a small demonstration.
