Been here, done this. The lawsuit involves the violation of a non-compete and/or confidentiality agreement. There's no beating those type of agreements.

Either Mattel will win, or both will settle out of court. No way MGA wins this.

Hi Mork! Neat question...For some reason the full story link below DOES NOT CONNECT:

Full Story: http://tinyurl.com/6xrydy

It says: "Cannot amend an open market". I know that you can't change this, but can you possibly give us another link? Many Thanks!

Ok, the suspension time has been extended after user request. Also in the news, I found this interesting:

"Mattel’s implied volatility, a measure of anticipated stock price volatility used in the pricing of options, rose 14 percent to 33.8 percent from Tuesday’s close, making it one of the afternoon’s top volatility gainers in the U.S. options market, she said.

“The interest in the July calls suggested a whiff of confidence among option traders that the Barbie maker’s legal smack down against the Bratz creator has some merit...”"

so when will the market be decided? This is the issue here, not the outcome, and it looks like no outcome for the foreseeable future. SO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> what to do>>??? any input appreciated. Personally, I had a weird relationship with Barbie resulting later in life in a divorce, so I won't go into it here. Well, a little. I mean, you know, we talked about... well... cosmetics over dinner,.. and it got kinda hard... you know what I mean...and then shoes.. or Ashley Simpson...and I couldn't handle it anymore, despite the fact she was awesome at .. Anyway, it likes my ex-wife versus my present GF. So it's DEEPLY PERSONAL. That's all I can say.... And I want Barbie to win! (sorry Sheryl, it's true baby but YOUR MY HOONEE these days) I love you hoonee!

Dude, I explained it all to Sheryl a couple of times, and she is totally offended (but she'd like to get back to you on that). C'mon Barbie!

well it's a rather complex story and since you leave out some details you aren't willing to share it's hard to get why your saying what you are... i think anyways!

Mattel Drops Suit Against Ex-Worker Over Doll Design
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121125499512306493.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

LOS ANGELES -- Barbie-maker Mattel Inc. dropped its lawsuit against a former employee over the design of the rival Bratz dolls, a lawyer for the giant toy maker said Monday.
In a motion posted online on the eve of jury selection, Mattel said it wanted claims and counterclaims against Carter Bryant to be dismissed with prejudice.
"We have reached a settlement that includes dismissal of claims against Carter Bryant," said John Quinn, a lawyer representing Mattel.
He said the motion had been approved by a judge. Mr. Quinn declined further comment.

"Mattel's copyright infringement lawsuit still seeks a piece of the Bratz franchise marketed by MGA Entertainment."
"Jury selection in that case is scheduled to begin tomorrow in Riverside federal court in Los Angeles."

Thank you Mork. I must have looked for the wrong info. I admit - I was confused as to why this was still an active question.
