What will be the next release in the AOE series?
Background: The Age Of Empires series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Empires) is the flagship strategy game from Microsoft . The last release was a expansion to AOE III dubbed The Asian Dynastics.

Also, the last AOE3 patch was a "fan patch," I believe so that fans can continue to modify the game after Ensemble is gone.
That's not to say a professionally developed addition to the AOE series won't exist, just that the future of the series is in rocky territory.
