
Who will win the 2008 Turner prize?
Mark Leckey, a 44-year-old artist who included the cartoon characters Felix the Cat and Homer Simpson in his submission, last night won the 2008 Turner Prize, the U.K.’s top contemporary-art honor.

Artist Mark Leckey has been included for his solo exhibition Industrial Light & Magic, which features cartoon characters such as Felix the Cat.
Glasgow-based artist Cathy Wilkes uses shop dummies in many of her installations.
Runa Islam, who works primarily in film, and Goshka Macuga, who has been described as a "cultural archaeologist", are also in the running.
The winner of the £25,000 award will be announced on 1 December.
