...just thoughts...

who did NOT win the Preakness today was the editor responsible for settling this prediction...this race was over a few hours ago...like many prediction questions, this race was run in American time with a US pst suspend time (which must be infuriating to hubdub friends outside of the US), and then it will be settled in Scots' time.

If hubdub primarily wants an international market, perhaps UK time would be more suitable BOTH for suspension AND settlement. If hubdub is primarily aiming into an American market, questions are going to need to BOTH suspend AND settle in American time. Suspending when it is convenient to American time and settling when it is convenient to Scots' time are not working that well and maybe need to be re-thought...

The world's three slowest events might be: sitting in a doctor's office waiting, sitting at a traffic light waiting, and waiting for a hubdub question to settle...At least, they seem like the slowest events...

...just thoughts...

yeah!!!

When it's 3:00 AM Sunday morning in Scotland, admin shouldn't be out enjoying themselves at the pub... they should be at home, on their computers, all night, settling our questions... darn it!!!

insert BIG smiley face here: =D

I think we are trying to say -- in a nice way -- that if you want to do business in Japan (for example), you must be able to do business during Japanese hours. If you want to do business in the US, you must be able to keep your business up to date during American business hours

Again, -- trying to say this nicely -- , can't you guys take turns burning the midnight oil in Scotland to keep your business settled and up to date?

Americans are very service oriented. We regard good service as an absolute requirement for corporate success. If we were trying to do business in Scotland, we would do the same for you...!
