Apparently the japaneese 4 is pronounced "shee", also the pronunciation for "death", this is considered very unlucky to them...so here is a clarification issue: what if it is playstation 4 in the states, but playstation something else in Japan.... how would this settle?

The earliest a new PS system would roll out is 2010, and they might not even announce what it will be called until then. This is a long term market to say the least.

Changing an easily recognised brand name which is associated with fun and good quality is not innovative, it is a poor business decision.
