Previous action withdrawn Tue 8th Jul 10:48am PDT by ryanj[Admin]: Because of the ambiguity in this market it is being resettled. The reason is the market was settled based on the USA Today/Gallup Poll which is not solely a Gallup poll. The market wasn't clear though on distinctions between a Gallup poll and a USA Today/Gallup poll.

I predicted "yes" because it's hard to get this horrible approval even lower :D

It's still higher than the congressional approval rating. Didn't they promise us lower gas prices if we would just vote democratic in the mid-terms?

@Erik: that is a good point!

According to this http://www.gallup.com/poll/108142/Confidence-Congress-Lowest-Ever-Any-US-Institution.aspx Congress has only 12% approval rating... that takes some effort

This market was, I believe, settled incorrectly.

The question is based on Gallup polling.

The Gallup polling for May was:
Gallup 5/8-11/08 29% approve

The Gallup polling for June was:
Gallup 6/9-12/08 30% approve.

Winning prediction should be "yes" as his approval rating went up 1%.
