QUAD ACES SEAL THE DEAL!!!

********************************************************

(***Rounding Note***)

Up till now I hadn't thought about card #0
A DJIA Close of 12400.00, for instance, results in a 0.
The way I was rounding the numbers resulted in approximately a half percent chance more for the first card than for the last card.

In FUTURE DJIA Poker Questions I will address this by changing the way the Card #s are

rounded off. Example: 0.00 to 0.99 = card #1, 1.00 to 1.99 = card #2, etc. If there are 48 cards to select from then 47.00 to 47.99 = card #48

This will insure that all Card #s have an equal chance of being drawn.

The following is based upon a true story...
All the names, places and events were completely changed to protect the innocent.

Viewer Discretion is Advised!

******************************************************************************

Pope Benedict XVI decides to take his popemobile out for a spin in Las Vegas. While waiting at a traffic light, an escort walks by, and feeling sorry for her the Pope offers her a ride.

After a few blocks of awkward silence, the Pope offers some encouraging words of comfort.

"I will pray, for you," he says, "I know your job is difficult and you feel you have no other options. God will guide you out of this mess."

A look of puzzlement sweeps across her young and prematurely aged face.

"You've heard my music?" she asks.

"Well, no, I didn't know you could sing," Pope responds.

"Of course I CAN sing, duh, I'm Britney Spears!"

"Oh, Britney! I must apologize... I didn't recognize you!"

"Well then why did you pick me up... don't you know about stranger danger?" she asked.

Pope smiled.

"Where can I drop you off, Britney?"

"I'm going to the Motel 6. It's a few miles down this road," she said while waving and dangling her arm and pointy finger in the straight ahead direction.

"Is that where you are staying?"

"No, that's where John, Hillary and Obama are staying," and after a moments pause, Britney's voice took on an anxious note, "They want me to HURRY up and pick one but I don't know who to endorse!"

She settled back in her seat, her voice calmer, she said, "We're just going to play cards... and like hang out... and maybe I'll choose one."

"I enjoy a game of cards now and then," Pope said, too polite to ask but hoping for an invite.

"Yeah!" Britney said excitedly, turning her full attention to the robed wise one beside her, "you should play... oh please oh please oh please play with us... it will be fun!"

"OK, Britney... I accept!"

John, Hillary and Obama met them in the parking lot.

"Can he endorse us?!?!", Hillary asked. She and Obama turned their heads in John's direction, "He's not a US Citizen!"

John fumbled through his pockets, patted at his back pockets and the chest and torso section of his suit. Satisfied what he was seeking could not be found, he spread his arms out, palms up, and shrugged.

"I forgot to bring my McCain-Feingold legislation," John said apologetically, "Not that it helps any... I can't make any sense out of it... those stupid rules keep tripping me up."

"You could give him amnesty, John," Obama's baritone rich voice suggested.

"Yeah, yeah..." John said excitedly, "...a pathway to citizenship!"

"Come, come..." John invited, turning to lead the group to his room, and without looking back he added as he walked, "Let's play some cards!"

Later, after the first hands were dealt, and everyone had opportunity to look at their cards, Obama turned to the Pope and said, "My wife and I would be honored, to accept your endorsement, for my bid to the White House, we..."

Hillary interrupted, "You already have a Reverend endorsement, it's MY turn, this was MY TURN!!!" She grabbed the Pope's arm, hugging his bicep, like a mother cradles and protects her child.

"That's ENOUGH, Hillary!" Obama retorted and stood to reach across the table, his hands clawing at her hands, attempting to pry them away from the Pope.

As if awaking from a deep slumber, John's eyebrows floated higher and he too jumped up and reached across the table, grabbing and holding for dear life the Pope's other arm.

Britney plugged her nose as she backed up in her chair, fleeing John's armpit.

"STOP!" Pope authoritatively shouted, standing so quickly, forcefully, that his chair accelerated and fell several feet behind him. With lightning speed never expected from a man his age, the Pope pulled his arms free, curled his fingers under his collar and with the scratching sound of Velcro separating, his robe fell to his feet around him. Pope quickly crossed his arms downward over his abdomen and grabbed two golden .457 revolvers, holstered with the butts facing forward, and drew them to arm level, gazing down the ends of the barrels as all eyes except Britney's stared in amazement at the Pope.

Britney, reaching down for the Pope's robe, asked in a voice that almost whispered in awe, "Who... is your... fashion designer?!?!"

"Shaddup, Britney!" Pope ordered, without turning his head away from the politicians standing before him.

"I came hear to play some cards... and I won't let this hand be ruined by a political fight... SIT DOWN!"

After everyone sat, Pope pushed all his chips to the center of the table.

"I'm all in," he said carefully, and leaned back in his chair to watch the others.

"Well, it's too late to fold now, I'm in it for the long haul," Hillary said pushing her chips in to join the pot.

"Call!" Obama said confidently.

"Call," John said with a nervous giggle

"Me, too," Britney said with a clap, "I LOVE going all in, this is sooo exciting!"

"What have you got, Hillary?" said Pope, "Show us your cards."

Hillary turned over the Queen and Jack of Diamonds. "Diamonds are a girls best friend," she smiled.

Obama turned over the King of Clubs and King of Spades, and addressed Hillary, "I've got you BEAT!"

"Don't count me out just yet," she replied waiving her pointy finger in front of Obama's face.

"I've got a pair of tens!" John said turning over the 10 of Spades and 10 of Hearts. "10 times 10 is 100!" he said with a laugh.

Hillary and Obama didn't laugh, so John continued, "Get it... 100 years... get it... 10 times 10 is 100," still laughing John waived them off with his hand as if to brush them aside for not understanding his joke.

"We get it," Hillary moaned.

Britney turned over a 5-7 of Clubs. "Just like the 57 states!" she exclaimed. Hillary cackled and poked Obama in the ribs with her elbow.

"I was tired..." Obama began in defense, but became quiet at the sight of Pope's cards as he turned them over.

"I have the Angels of God!" Pope said, "The Ace of Spades and Ace of Hearts!"

@TOCM - I apologize for the HUGE comment above and hogging the recent comments section of the front page. After typing the background details and then submitting the question, I received an error message that I went over the 2048 character limit. The background story isn't important to the question, just for fun, but I spent some time typing it, didn't want to just throw it away, so I added it to my profile shouts and to the comments section here.

Yes, you are right, against those 4 other hands the Aces chance to win is only 38.78%

OK heres one for you

the pope lands in new york and his limo driver picks him up. He says to his limo driver hey I have always wanted to drive a limo, could I please drive, the limo driver reluctly agrees. As the pope is now driving wildly throught he streets of new york, a cop pulls him over. when the cop walks up to the limo to ask for liscense & registration, the pope rolls down the window and asks, "can I help you my fine man". The cop blanches and runs back to his squad car and radio's his captian, "sir, I just pulled over a limo that was driving wildly and I think I have a VIP", the captian asks "is it the Mayor?", the cop says "no bigger", the captian asks "is it the Governer?", "no bigger" the cop says. The captian asks "the President?", the cop says "Sir, I am talking real big", the captian says well I am out of options, why do you think this is a bigger VIP then the President?". The cop states "well sir, I think it might be God, because the Pope is his driver!!!!"

Not as good as fingers story but when you work for the church sometimes this is a funny as it gets.

Great question fingers, can't wait for the first card of the flop!!!!!
