Odds were a little off on this, weren't they? Cincy has a better record and San Diego is at home. hmmmmmm
@mick - You'll notice that users analyze questions extremely carefully, both the wording and the initial odds. We've learned from experience that this is necessary. Please don't let this discourage you... Hubdub is a BLAST!
Thats why we have you guys here, to keep things running smoothly no matter how bumpy we make the ride =)
You're right, I just wanted to hear the general consensus of the issues raised therefore I can make a well informed decision;
I should have said something more along the lines of "Seeing what's been said, I'm going to suspend it if noone can give any evidence against me doing so"
and yea, suspending for the wording...
will the recent question (in the past few hours) about from which continent will the winner of the US Open also be voided, after announcements that Tiger Woods plans on returning at that time...with all starting odds being equal? the wagers shot way up just after posting. what's the difference?
Where do we draw the line here?
While the starting odds may not have been fair, I can probably find a whole list of questions with unrealistic starting percentages, which other hubdubbers jumped on and won big. As I saw quoted in one question's comments, by a hubdub admin, it said something to the extent of "starting odds cannot be changed...." and the question was left open.
While I agree with epicur and try to follow Vegas or realistic odds in creating such questions, it seems that there should be some consistency. I cannot count the number of times that I've seen a question where wagers shot way up in one direction and I thought to myself "dang, wish I would have seen that one."
Let it play out...void it...just do something...leaving it suspended for a day is useless and very frustrating...can't cash out, change positions, or do anything.....
