How about changing Can to Will?

I'm betting all of my H$ on "Yes," the "CAN" beat them, but will they? :)

Odds were a little off on this, weren't they? Cincy has a better record and San Diego is at home. hmmmmmm

It doesnt matter where they play, San Diego should not be favored against any MLB team.

want me to suspend it until admins can take a look?

Mick is a new user this week, since Tuesday... WELCOME MICK!

@mick - You'll notice that users analyze questions extremely carefully, both the wording and the initial odds. We've learned from experience that this is necessary. Please don't let this discourage you... Hubdub is a BLAST!

@skipper - You are responsible/accountable for your decisions... I trust YOU to do your best. Be careful about asking other users for advice. Evil Hubdubers could try to manipulate you. Use your well deserved and hard earned powers to make decisions on issues that you have no doubt about. When unsure what to do, you'll have to research the question/odds yourself or refer it to another Power User you trust.

I agree with Fingers of Fury. The Mods/Admins and Power Users should all use own judgment when faced with hubdubbers having issues about questions. We regular dubbers raise the flag, you guys check it out and use own judgement, and we know that you'll make the righ decision.
Thats why we have you guys here, to keep things running smoothly no matter how bumpy we make the ride =)

The starting odds of a 25% chance for Cincinnati's winning were not realistic. Vegas has Cincinnati favored by 1 1/2. What was the justification for going opposite of Vegas?

@ sd and fof
You're right, I just wanted to hear the general consensus of the issues raised therefore I can make a well informed decision;
I should have said something more along the lines of "Seeing what's been said, I'm going to suspend it if noone can give any evidence against me doing so"
and yea, suspending for the wording...

hello? are we waiting for the outcome of the game to make a decision? question was suspended more than 12 hours ago, the game is halfway over (with 1 whopping hit and no score after 4 1/2 innings).

will the recent question (in the past few hours) about from which continent will the winner of the US Open also be voided, after announcements that Tiger Woods plans on returning at that time...with all starting odds being equal? the wagers shot way up just after posting. what's the difference?

Where do we draw the line here?
While the starting odds may not have been fair, I can probably find a whole list of questions with unrealistic starting percentages, which other hubdubbers jumped on and won big. As I saw quoted in one question's comments, by a hubdub admin, it said something to the extent of "starting odds cannot be changed...." and the question was left open.

While I agree with epicur and try to follow Vegas or realistic odds in creating such questions, it seems that there should be some consistency. I cannot count the number of times that I've seen a question where wagers shot way up in one direction and I thought to myself "dang, wish I would have seen that one."

Let it play out...void it...just do something...leaving it suspended for a day is useless and very frustrating...can't cash out, change positions, or do anything.....
