HAH! good one. yep sure. Ha ha! I'm dying over here. I mean, I'm on the floor. Space
isn't that the place Americans and Russians hang out? I guess they could send a sheep
into space. Or a yobbo. "what effect does zero gravity have on an opened can of beer?"

No - well, yes a satellite was launched, but this question is about Australia establishing their own Space Agency (it's at the end of the background details). We were expecting an announcement by the Senate in October.

However the settement date is 31 December, so if no news by then question will settle as 'no'

Australia is a small superpower, and the view that it is just sheeps and beer is wrong. Ok, I dont agree with our government, but if Kevin Rudd really wanted to, we could have a man in space no later than 2013-2014. But that is not likely as kevin rudd is a lazy slob who only won because Howard was getting old and Malcom Turnbull is a pile of s***.

@dragon
Regardless of what the gentleman above thinks he only joined to-day. and like all new comers falls into a trap.
Howard lost because he lied and also lost his own blue ribbon seat .
nelson who was the first leader of the opposition got kick out ,
and the other gentle man is no match for Rudd as time will tell.
and we have not got that sort of money to spend on space.
but lets welcome martianman
