While I don't necessarily think that a 10,000 person protest is highly unlikely (the indians are very passionate about cricket). I'm more concerned about the settlement rules. Will cricketnext really report on such protests if they occur and will they give numbers?

If the professor can clarify these, then I will unsuspend

There has been protests of a very large scale when sourav ganguly had been dropped eariler and removed from the captains post. There also had been a virtual blackout in the city. Now since he has been playing extermely well in DLF IPL series is quiet unfair from the Indian selectors to drop him.Cricketnext is a site dedicated to Cricketing news. They will surely display any news that is related to cricket especially in India.Even if its a strike or protest. Its sure they will give the numbers if its a large protest.

Kolkatta is a sef centric society. They protest for each and everything that will affect their state without taking into consideration of the country as a whole. They are ruled by the communists.

Can you provide links to media reporting these protests?

"There has been protests of a very large scale when sourav ganguly had been dropped"
Since you were unable (or just did not want) to provide background information even when asked directly, I did some research.
You were right; there has been some rioting as Sourav Ganguly (sorry when misspelled) had been dropped.
This was in December 2005. The number of protesters is stated "300". I'm not sure what you meant by "virtual blackout", but these protesters managed to block a intersection for 15 min.

These reports do not explain why you expect to have 10'000 protesters, though.
Please give us further information, when possible.

Anyway: "should occur by 31st of May"

Please void this question.

Err, why has this been settled while having such inaccurate starting odds?

It was settled after I received a settlement request.I have retracted the settlement and the question has been voided.
