Will Bill Clinton Campaign for Barack Obama?

Settled as Yes

Rally on Oct 29. Orlando Florida.

Background:

Category Editor Clarification
The suspend date has been moved til the election. If he campaigns with him before then it will suspend/settle then. This market asks about an event and not whether that event will occur by a particular time, and because it is event based, suspend date can be moved without effecting market.
Barack Obama and Bill Clinton haven't had the greatest of relationships during this campaign. But Bill even though he's made some mistakes over the years is one of the best fundraisers the Democrat's have. He's also a great campaigner.

The rift that's occurred between Obama and the Clintons though may be to wide to fix. And nothing mobilizes the GOP against the Dem's then the Clintons.

For this market to settle "campaign" is taken to mean: Obama and Bill being seen at a Obama campaign rally or campaign event (The convention will not count).

Settlement details: As reported by a major mainstream news source.

Despite this question having settled, according to Bill Clinton's representatives, Obama still has to ask nicely. (Or pucker up, whichever.)

For all we know this may occur during the Clinton event this week. It would be a great photo-op. The problem here though is that whatever the politicians say, it's reasonably clear that there is love lost. However much they make nice on stage, that fact will always remain.

Lets see. When he campaigned for himself the first time in 1994 he won. When he campaigned again in 1996 he won. When he campaigned again in 2008 for Hilliary Clinton he lost. That shows a 66% success rating. Therefore if he were to support obama, in theory there would be a 2/3 chance obama wins. Considering that Obama has won when he ran for senate in 2004 that means that he has a 100% chance in theory of winning. So if Clinton decided to help obama it would be bad for the Obama campaign, lowering his chances of winning by 34%. In theory of course.

Don't you just love statistics, Dragon?

Did Billy Bob campaign for Gore? If so, we have to drop his success rate to 50 percent, right? Did he campaign for Kerry? This is getting complicated.

I was thinking, if Bill Clinton was "the first black president" then Obama has a 0 percent chance of being the first black president.

He appeared alone, without Barack. Settlement details and background clearly state they must appear together at a rally....

ditto at what tocm said. just a comment on the clarifaction. why it's true changing the suspend time (making it longer) doesn't effect the outcome of the question per say..it does change the chances of it occuring. i have very little wagered and will go with the clarifaction. just wanna be on the record that imho making the settlement time longer is reason to have one's bet voided if they so choose.

Its not for sure though. Something could happen. Why did they settle this before hand?
