Will Donald Trump get the approval to build his golf course in Scotland?

Settled as Yes

Approval has now been given
http://www.contractjournal.com/Articles/2008/11/03/61835/donald-trumps-1bn-golf-course-finally-approved.html

Background:

Donald Trump argued his case Tuesday for the construction of a $2 billion golf resort on a stretch of coast in northeast Scotland after months of acrimony between the billionaire developer and local residents.

Trump used Tuesday's hearing to make a last-ditch appeal to push through the golf complex. The panel will meet until early July, and draw up a conclusion at some point after that.

This question will be settled as a yes if he receives approval to move forward with his plans. If the commission recommends changes but allows it to move forward that is considered a yes. If they require him to draw up different plans and resubmit for approval that is a no. I am sure there are a 1000 different what if situations. Lets see what happens before we dissect this question to pieces. I trust the category editor to use their best judgment when it comes to settling.

The suspend date is set way in the future, I am sure one of the supers or admins will suspend when a report is released.

Here is link to story that inspired question: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,364901,00.html

@ destry - Interesting to see you chose to put this in the "Other" sub-category and not "UK".... :-o

I figured we had Trump who is American, plus a location in Scotland, and it forced me to chose something.

just wanted to check you didn't think Scotland was "other"...I've met a lot of Americans who weren't sure where it is.

@jenni - I think this would be duplicate IF this farmer was the only person standing in his way. That's not the case - a lot of locals and environmentalists are also "agin" it.

@lesley - yes I am an american, but received a crash course in overseas georgraphy when I dated a girl from cornwall. I now make sure to use google earth for everything. I even had to look up edinburgh when I adjusted the foxclock addon to show me what time it was over there. I even know the latitude and longitude of Hubdub... lol...

super users and an admin discussing this...jenni posted link to other question and admin says it ain't a duplicate. ABSOULATELY AMAZING! this is whats so wrong with this site. you can't tell what the rules are, and if they get applied evenly. i've seen alot less in simularity get voided (after being suspended by a super user) cause their called duplicates. one site mentions the fisherman/land owner and tree huggers, the other just tree huggers. THATS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE. i could care less if you allow both questions..my point is having consistentcy in the way the "rules" are enforced-applied. the only thing you all are talking about is which category it got posted in. have a nice day.
