Will Air America still be on the radio 7-1-2009?

Current forecast: 60% chance
Combining all predictions, the current forecast is that this is 60% likely to happen (unchanged in last 1 day)

As a 1 trick pony, Air America Radio's sole mission is to bash Bush & ridicule Republicans. Will they suddenly become defenders of the Democratic domain, or will they run out of program material?

This question will automatically self destruct if McCain wins the election.
AKA Void - as this question asks what will happen to Air America if there are no targets and they have to change their format drastically.

Fox news has managed to stay on the air during a Republican administration.
posted 24 weeks ago
Yeah, but Fox isn't conservative, although they do allow some conservative viewpoints to come out once in a while. Air America has a pretty thorough filter on anything that is not hanging out in the far left.

"Fox isn't conservative"
You're kidding, right?

Firstly, Air America producers and broadcasters make no pretense of the fact that they have a leftist point of view, which I might add, is SORELY missing from talk radio these days with the likes of Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Ingraham, Hannity, etc. Whereas your so-called "non-conservative" distorters and neocons over at Fox Noise laughably portray themselves as a "fair and balanced" objective news entity! This would be hilarious and comical if weren't for the depressing fact that this country is filled with an uninformed and easily-manipulated citizenry who can't differentiate between objective journalism and what amounts to 'consumer fraud' passing as journalism.

/gets off soapbox. Sorry - couldn't let that "fox isn't conservative" comment pass and look at myself in the mirror. ;-) Here' a funny look at Fox News' Rupert Murdoch's war on journalism on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w39FnpuMRfo&eurl=http://www.outfoxed.org/

I agree that some of what is on Fox News is laughable - we are on the same page on that! (Especially O'Reilly - he needs to retire or something)

However, that does not make them conservative.

And be careful with those crazy words like "neocons" - they do not mean what you think they do. What would a "neolib" look like? What would a "non-liberal" distorter look like?

Small government, lower taxes, more freedom, the free exchange of ideas, peace through strength - these things are conservative... and are missing from a lot of the commentary on Fox News.

Thank you for your concern, but I know exactly what a "neocon" is and I know exactly what it means. And yes, neocon means exactly what I think it does.

Bill Kristol, the cofounder of the neoconservative project, "Project for a New American Century" (group that advocated/s American preemptive military attacks with other states before the U.S. has been attacked) is the godfather of Neoconservatism, and a commentator and political analyst on some "news" station... hmm... the name escapes me... oh yes, F O X N E W S !!!

Btw, Neoliberalism is an economic term which advocates free market capitalism, cutting social services, deregulation, privatization, etc. All things that "conservatives" would support.

Ok, fair enough. If you know what "neocon" means, why did you use it when responding to a remark on conservatism?

It seems like a case of changing the question to fit an answer...

I see your point now. When you said "Fox isn't conservative"... you meant it isn't conservative in the Barry Goldwater sense, as opposed to the Dick Cheney/Karl Rove version of conservative. I agree that in MANY instances there should be a sharp distinction between "conservative" and the current Republican party. Point well-taken.

@crowe..there has been many liberal talk radio shows. its a market deal..you get listeners you stay on. seems to me they can't get a big enough auidence. air america has went bankrupt once already. i guess america is full of dumb people. fox number 1 in cable news. could it be their on to something the "clinton news network"(cnn)has been missing all these years? people bash fox as consertive cause all they ever had was liberal views till fox came along. jmho. have a nice day.

Yeah, I admit I am not always real clear in how I say stuff, but that is what I was attempting to say.

It is the reason why a lot of conservative people leave the voting booth feeling like they just stepped in a pile of "lesser of two evils".
