Settlement requested Fri 25th Jul 11:52am PDT by jenniandboys[Admin]: Not sure what we define as "best seller". I would have said #1 on the best seller list... In which case, we settle as no, since it debuted at #3.

Settlement requested Fri 25th Jul 2:59pm PDT by newswrangler[Power User]:
The fact that this is #2 on the New York Times BEST SELLER LIST indicates it *IS* a "New York Times Best Seller".

If it were NOT on the New York Times BEST SELLER LIST this would settle as "no".

[BTW, the link provided by Jenni is NOT the NY Times Best Seller List, rather it is "Publishers Weekly" ... which ought not be used to settle this market either "yes" or "no".]

(I have no predictions in this market.)

Settle as "Yes".

Madonna who? Is she that old, irrelevant, corporate classic pop singer who blessed the careers of Britney and Cristina with a kiss some years ago? Lot of good it did for Britney, right? Definitely: No.

irrelevant??...I think you misspelled irreverent...

irreverent, outspoken, unorthodox, icon to at least one generation of black sheep, fascinating, creative in a bizarre manner, Salome without the veils, Evita (both off the wall and on the big screen), Cleopatra in another generation...

highly irreverent, and we are intrigued. Definitely: Yes.

I think jamalpeter had it right. "irrelevant" ... not relevant; not applicable or pertinent, not worthy of notice, etc...

thank you frank2877. I meant no longer pertaining to things of interest: irrelevant.

although I grudgingly admit that she was ONCE considered irreverent. Now she's not even considered. Hence, irrelevant. Her brother missed his opportunity by about... two decades. The right answer is: No.
