New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced his city's Summer Streets initiative. The initiative will ban cars, trucks and buses from a 6.9-mile stretch of roads in Manhattan on three Saturdays. These roads will be available to walkers, cyclists and yoga classes from 7 am to 1 pm on August 9, 16 and 23.
