Will a video or tape of Cindy McCain saying 'blackey' turn up before the election?

@corky - I feel your pain... (said sincerely, not sarcastically!)

There have been a number of anti-Barack markets posted (birth certificate, 57 states, whitey-tape, dead people, etc) that were either propagating right wing blog rumors or just making fun of his gaffes. There have not been, that I recall, any anti-McCain markets. That does not imply that hubdub is anti-Barack or pro-McCain. In fact if you take a look at most of the non-partisan questions about the election (Who will be President, Who will get most popular vote, Electoral vote margin) Barack seems to be in the lead here. Perhaps our anti-McCain members are quieter here or perhaps they display their partisanship in different ways. I don't really know.

I do know however, that at least tenuously, each and every one of those markets were tied to a news story. The whitey tape rumor spread enough that Barack debunked it on his own website www.fightthesmears.com... its still a smear, but the issue has reached a certain level of newsworthiness.

I am not aware of any rumors surrounding Cindy McCain saying something racist. If you have any sources to link to this story, I see no problem with it. But although the concept of equal smearing sounds democratic, it just doesn't make sense here. (She also has a black daughter, so the racism angle just doesn't seem to hold a lot of water)

I wish we could have this conversation across a table so that tone and facial expression and hand waving can be thrown in... I hope you are comforted and not frustrated by my response. (I am suspending market for the reason stated above)

My anti-John McCain F bomb question survived due to numerous news reports and videos concerning his foul language.

@ Corky - When I created the question about Michelle Obama possibly having an audio tape of her saying "blame whitey", it was a news story on several legitimate channels. It was not simply a rightwing or leftwing blog post with no accountability. Because of the number of multiple news sources, I felt this would be a good candidate for a question here - letting Hubdubbers decide if the news story was valid or not, through their wagering. Can you say the same for your question or are you simply denigrating the site into a "bottom-dwelling political advocacy site"?

As for evidence of Michelle's alleged racism, I think you need to look no further than to their spiritual adviser. The vociferous Rev. Jeremiah Wright is known for voicing his displeasure with our society and has frequently gone off on racist rants during his weekly services. The Obama's belonged to this church for 20 years (20 Y E A R S)

One of the characteristics of human behavior is the tendency of people to stay near other people with similar beliefs. Apples do not fall far from the tree, so to speak. Or as Obama once said - "So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them. . . "

In my life, I have seen our country grow from segregated schools in the 60's to having a Presidential candidate of color now. There is nothing better for our society as a whole, than to see the further integration of diverse cultures become commonplace. But perhaps I am just ranting like a "typical white person", as referenced by Barack Obama.
