Brief announcements in the world of Hubdub - mainly feature releases and bug fixes.

Indices rule change - Indices questions will be suspended one hour before the markets close. The only exception will be those questions that relate to the numerical state of a market, such as the poker hand and tens digits questions.

Hubdub Dashboard - To help you keep track of your and your friends' predictions, activity, and performance we have introduced the new Hubdub Dashboard. It replaces My Hubdub, and your predictions can now be found on the new My Predictions tab. Got feedback? We'd love to hear it here

Forecasts as % chance - We have slightly changed the way that the Current Forecast for a Yes/No question is displayed. It now shows a % chance of the question coming true, to make it easier for new users to understand and to make questions previously forecast No seem more interesting and appealing

New super users announced - Congratulations to our new Super Users who have proven themselves such proficient and knowledgeable Hubdubbers to be promoted to help keep the site running smoothly. They are Jerry (cognos), Adam (valornhonor) and Shane (swilson)

Comment on predictions! - You can now tell your friends what you think of their predictions leaving a comment on them from a question page or their profile.

New category editors - We are thrilled to announce we have appointed 5 new category editors. Details here

Homepage rearranged - The homepage has been rearranged to bring content nearer the top to make it more accessible

Prediction flow amended - The process of making a prediction has now been amended to make it easier for new users to understand, and to ease greater sharing of predictions

Commenting easier on question pages - The question pages have been tweaked to make it easier for users to see comments and participate in the discussion, zoom into the graph, and see the settlement details and history

New stats on profiles - User profiles have been changed to show some more stats, such as leaderboard position and best and worst category

Copy question as new - To create a new question that is similar to one of your old ones, click 'Copy question as new' in the top right of the question page (only available to question creators)

Void + unsuspend email notifications - Email notifications on prediction void and unsuspend are now live.

Twitter and question photo upload - You can now Twitter your predictions with the click of a button - see 'Share prediction' on the prediction confirmation page. Also, now question creators can upload their own photos.

User Search - You can now search for users by entering their username, email or other information (as long as they have made it public) into the search box at the top of every page.

Design changes - The appearance of the question lists has been changed to improve readability and presentation. No more green bars!

Timezones - You can now pick a timezone from the Site settings page, if the automatically calculated one is incorrect.

Timezones - As far as possible times on the website are now shown in your timezone. We work this out from your IP address, and it should be the correct zone around 97% of the time.

Financial Indices - Questions on indices can now only be made about the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the NASDAQ Composite Index. Questions on any other indices are not currently permitted.

Super users up and away! - To improve the workings of Hubdub we've appointed a small number of Super Users to help us out. More info here

Hubdub widgets are here! - We've released widgets that let you show off your favorite Hubdub questions and predictions on your blog, website or social network profile (e.g. Facebook). More info here

Recent predictions on question page - The question page has been redesigned to include people's recent predictions on that question, as well as simplified to make the important information (e.g. settlement information) clearer.

Confirm screen on question creation - To help all you question creators out there avoid mistakes and typos we've added a final confirm screen as part of the question creation process.

New Leaderboards live! - As the new quarter starts there are new leaderboards for Quarterly Gain, Weekly % gain and All Time. You can also view the whole leaderboard and jump straight to your page. How everybody has a chance at Hubdub stardom - good luck everyone :)

Challenge friends to predict! - No need to fly solo any longer, it's time to start dishing out the great questions you find to friends for them to predict. Click Challenge friends on any question and invite Hubdub friends and email contacts alike to make a prediction. We'll alert you what they predict when they complete your challenge.

Invite Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail contacts - It's now even easier to invite your friends from your Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail address books. Just click the 'Invite Friends' link at the top right of the screen and follow the instructions.

Sort and search your predictions - A new sortable and searchable version of your open predictions is available for test from My Predictions. Please send us your feedback before we switch over permanently.

Send shouts to friends on profiles - Time to take the friendly banter up a notch - you can now send your Hubdub friends shouts from their profile page. They'll get an email notification when you do (which can be switched off from Dashboard -> Site Settings, but why wouldn't you wanna know that you're being challenged, bigged-up or teased by a Hubdub buddy?)

Email settlement notifications - Users now get an email letting them know whether they won or lost when a question is settled. You can turn these emails off from Dashboard -> Site Settings.

Subcategories live - Questions can now be browsed by subcategories within the existing main categories. This hopefully makes it easier for you to find questions you're interested in. The old 'Hubdub' category can now be found as a subcategory of 'Technology'. All old questions have to be assigned to subcategories by hand, so please accept our apologies if you notice questions out of place while we complete this task.

Upload your profile pictures - Alright Hubdubbers, time to show your faces! The long overdue picture upload feature is now live (Dashboard -> My Profile) if you're logged in (there's also a link from your profile). We're looking forward to seeing you all!

Friends! Friends! Friends! - Hubdub users can now add each other as friends, and invite others via email to join Hubdub and become friends. You can manage your friends from the My Friends section of Dashboard. The Leaderboard tab now also provides a leaderboard for only you and your friends. Hubdub is now social. Enjoy!

Track recent comments - The front page drop down box now has an extra view: recent comments. This shows the most recent comments on questions and can be selected by category. Enjoy tracking the discussions!

More question and creator info - We're now showing more info about the question (count down to suspension time, total activity) on the question's page, and some more info about the creator (what their settled vs. void track record is like, and what other open questions they have). You now have to give a reason for flagging a question. On question creation it's much easier to send the new question to your friends. Finally, the look of some right hand panels has been updated.

Hubdub Rules v1.0 released - the Hubdub rules as created with assistance from our users are now below the Good Question Guide http://tom.groopitdev.com/public/goodquestion.

Duplicate check on question creation - in an effort to reduce duplicate questions, users are now presented with possible duplicates on a new middle step in the question creation process.

Public settlement requests - all settlement requests made by users along with the reason given are now publicly displayed in the Action History list of the Settlement tab on the appropriate question page. Admins can now also clarify settlement information pre- and post-settlement in the same area.

Void refunds - any users who experienced losses as a result of questions being voided should now have received their stakes back.
