Is this supposed to have such a late suspend time?
Charge them with attempting manslaughter. This type of thing can kill quite easily, and should not be taken lightly. No way this can be considered "just a prank". It's far beyond throwing snowballs at passing cars.
The last minutes dip saved my day....thank you, traders.
That was crippling...I think I'm still falling down the stairs...

Glad your patience paid off. I panicked and learned that it is somehow possible to kick yourself in maracas.
Actually, I believe that the "by May" phrase has been determined to mean "by the end of May". Notice the settlement date...
Well, that's some of the least amounts of movement we've seen on this question in a while...only one major swing late in the day.
His "feats of boredom" don't impress me, but I must admit that I love his street magic. Some of the stuff he can do with a deck of cards is fantastic.
Gotta say, that was one hell of a fun ride! Bumped my stacks from $44,000 to $48,000 in one hour. Trying to get Bayoubear back in my sites.
Can we use assume that a tie means this is voided?
And it sucks that it's a dup, because bayoubear had to do a lot of typing to get all those possible answers in! Poor bastard...
(ugh..."more better"...can we just let that one go?)
Cashed out my 12,500 - 12,600 predictions just in time on that one! Holy cow, what a ride!
It does actually present an interesting question. While I do think that the spirit of the question is one that should be honored, I ended up in a debate with CastleNak (another HubDub user that I hang out with in RL) about exactly this type of thing. I'm starting a thread on GetSatisfied about MLB predictions, and how questions/settlement details should be specified for the games. It is the first type of game since HubDub started that can get rained out, and that means that some specifics will either have to be ignored, or implemented...
However, the question also specified it being the Opening Day game. Let's consider the spirit of the question just a bit before we make these settlements.
FYI: This game is delayed until Tuesday, April 1 at 7pm.
Thank you. I had to be fair, so I started it at the correct odds. But I also wanted to get under some NYY fan skins by starting the Yanks odd at like 20%...

It'll get down there sooner or later!

Go Sox!
His poses at the plate alone are worth the twenty mill! Okay, his backing up of Papi is what bumps him into the $20M range, IMHO.
Talk about a little stress at the end of the day.

This has to be the least amount of actvity I've ever seen on this question. Only H$17,030 or activity at 2:15pm? What happened?
Leave them be? bah!

Actually, today, I did just that. Picked up 12,000 - 12,100 round 11:30am, and I've resisted selling because it's too good a pay out if I hit.
Yep, seems like the system is on EST, even though it is describing suspend times as PST...
Why did this suspend at 1:00pm EST? Should be 1:00pm PST.
I had another one of those mad days where I would cash out, and I ended up losing hundreds of dollars on the fluctuating market between when the screen and came up when I hit the cash out button...Infuriating...Cashed in 3 $400 bets($1200) for what should have been a profit, but ended up getting paid a total of $500.

But I do admit that the crazy, fluctuating market makes for a hell of a drug!!
Well, I'll be the first one to say that I am bugging out about this one! About %10 of my total stacks invested in this one...And it is far too interesting for my tastes right now.
I lost hundred of dollars today just because the percentages were moving so quickly from when my "Cash Out" page loaded with stated cash out to 0.25 seconds later when I hit the Cash Out button. One bet went from earning me $600 profit to a $200 loss. So ticked off...
And that's not even counting when making a bet at 30% odds, then you look at what actually saved and it saved as 75%...
Well, it looks like the possible outcomes provided may have been a little off the mark. I could see this getting voided, as the originally provided link provided information that probably skewed a lot of the betting. On the other hand, I hedged my bets, so I will still make money even though the 30+ outcome is correct. So I'm fine if it doesn't get voided! But would kind of recommend that it does. Great question for the future, BTW. Just need to clean it up.
Oh, crap....just noticed that it is 4.0 or greater for the rest of the world. d'oh. Will keep looking.
There has been no announcment on about a first season. On Feb 17, that was just a movie.
Just to keep percpective on the fickleness of writers, Anne Rice has announced another Lestat book in the vampire series. You never know, but I'm still voting No.
Actually, I considering I have cash on Pics4d being top of the leaderboard, I prob should cash out now!
Dow closes at 4pm EST (1hr 20mins from now)
Well, you could also say that B) and C) are the same option, no?
I take e). But with the stipulation that most of my co-workers are on vacation this week, so I'm entertaining myself with fake money during the downtime.
Wnna bet on it? :)
I started betting up, then I think I had about 15 bets cashed in before noon trying make up for my losses, finshing at only $38 profit.

Now I'm in on a couple down bets. Feeling pretty good about it...for now. :)
Completely agree. Yesterday's ride shattered nerves and took away cash reserves. People are just holding off until 3:30 EST, then the flood will come.
There hasn't been enough activity on this bet today. I was stuck in the middle with action on both answers and both were down for too long. Just screaming at the system "Please, someone bet on ANYTHING".
Agreed. I've been hedging my 12,300 - 12,399 bets by picking up action on above. Overall, very glad I didn't put all fo my stacks on this one. Scary as hell to not be able to cash out, but does add a slice of interesting. Perhaps we could allow for an option while creating a question to allow or not allow cash outs?
Problem with this type of question is that I could just make my own website mention the text on multiple pages to impact the result. Not sure if thats a reason to void the question, but I'll flag it just to be sure someone reviews it.
Also, I set the end time as 5pm EST. That is a mistake, as that is the start time of the consolation game between BU and Northeastern. The start time is actually 8:00pm EST. Maybe this will be fixed, maybe not...I'll send in a request though.
Do I really think he's dead? Yes. BANG, I won my bet, because I really do think he's dead. Silly question, poorly worded, no way to settle it.
It should be noted that this if for the MEN's Beanpot Hockey tournament.
TMZ this morning reports: "There was supposed to be a hearing today on the motion by Brit to get "visitation in a therapeutic setting." That motion was put off, because the therapeutic setting Britney's in right now is a psych ward."

Does that mean this question is voided? Or simply put off until the hearing actually occurs?
Why were the odds of a 'Yes' outcome at 70 percent when this started? (Flagging)
Well, here is a link that states 3-5 inches of snow had accumm'd by 10pm in the city. Safe to state that they had 5 by midnight: http://blogs.trb.com/news/weather/weblog/wgnweather/

But, I agree...Don't think I'll be betting on the weather questions much.
I agree. Using the provided link, it shows that less than one inch of precip fell on Jan 31, 2008. Here is the follow through on that site: http://weather.wgntv.com/auto/wgntv/history/airport/KUGN/2008/1/31/DailyHistory.html?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA
