I post a lot of golf questions throughout the year and I find it unbelievable that these guys are paid close to a million dollars for winning a tournament like this. I'm starting to see that after the Fedex cup is awarded that the balance of the tournaments are handled like consolation prizes. Some of these golfers are fresh out of Q-School and others are barely hanging on to their PGA cards. I agree completely with Dieseldog that this is a course for 5 year olds. When the tournament officials lay out a course they can vary the level of difficulty by selecting tougher pin placements to create more risk/reward shots. I don't see that at the Valero this year. I personally think all pro courses should be set up like the U.S. Open where everyone is forced to be creative in their shot-making decisions. That would knock about half of these 5 year olds off of their bikes. I'll do a better job in posting the spreads for the next tournament, maybe even putting in a bracket that 70 or More will be Under Par. Heck, maybe Mork, Dieseldog and Buckeyetom can join the PGA Tour. See ya at the Masters in 2009!

Sometimes CNN does not like to call an election early because it affects voter turnout at the polls, especially in the Pacific Time Zones. Are they going to wait while Hawaii finishes voting? If CNN waits, then the earliest they will announce is 11/5 at 2AM. If the electoral votes indicate a "Slam Dunk" for one of the candidates then I suppose it could be earlier. Considering that analysis, what in your opinion signals the "Official Call?" We all know CNN is going to give tons of opinions during the evening.

She has many illnesses which require medication and without it she may die. If she dies, they will no doubt have to modify her house to get her out. For example: 154 and under------------155-161----------162-168 etc. The wider the bracket spread, the wider the overall choice span, thus covering any changes in the quantity of games on a given day. That's just a suggestion however. You always do a good job.

The odds makers use the o/u (over/under) figure to average out the betting line. I used that here to set the starting odds, but at the rate it is going, after Thursday's games were completed it seems the moving average is now sitting at 35.2 points per game in comparison to the original 40.5. The long shots are looking good right now.

The starting odds of "None of these things happen during World Series" was set at 55%. I am sure that at least one event, namely an error on a batted ball allowing a hitter to reach first base safely, will occur. An error is not a hit. I think the odds on "none" should have been the long shot possibility with odds of around 2%, not 55%. This comment refers to item 5 under Hitting. Also I can't think of 7 games going without a batter being hit by a pitch (HBP).

I find myself wondering whether the leading score would be a little bit more below par if Tiger were in the hunt. This course is playing just as tough as the U.S. Open played at Torrey Pines.

A physical sporting event cannot be settled by an announcement. A athlete could sprain an ankle in warm ups and everything could change. It's different than politics. Just announcing a pitcher isn't enough. It has to actually happen. Then it becomes real and verifiable.

It's going to take a .620 winning percentage to achieve 100 wins based on a 162 game season. As of 6/28 only 4 teams are within credible striking distance. None of the four teams currently have a win% greater than .613 and that's the Cubs. This is a good teaser question like some of the proposition bets you would find in Vegas.
