One can only hope.

Crowe,
Thank you for providing the background for these two. In Frankens book "Lying Liars" he sites a couple of interviews where Coulter has refered to him as her 'pal' (footnotes chapter, I believe) and she has made more than one reference to Franken as her 'intellectual equal'. She has lost public debates to him, handily, I may add, and showed uncharacteristic grace. If Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson can share a moment, why not Franken and Coulter?

Note that Obama cannot directly deposit funds but he can agree to assist via fundraisers etc. The money has to be raised by August 25th (Dem. Convention) If Obama is going to help, it will have to be something solid by that date and there is strong motivation to win favor with Clintin's supporters. If there is no solid number published and attributed to Obama's Campaign by deadline the correct answer is 'none'.

Obama's campaign is open to paying off some of the more than $20 million in debt accrued by defeated rival
Hillary Clinton, a top adviser said.
`Certainly that is something that would be on the table,'' the adviser, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, told Bloomberg News reporters and editors yesterday. ``Obviously we want to help each other.''

This is strictly speculation but perhaps, in spite of all the vitrolic barbs exchanged, she secretly admires his intellect and views him as a respected peer or even a friend of sorts. Maybe she will see an endorsement as a chance to shock the media, get some press and sell a few books.
Hi rogi, I don't have a problem changing time frame. I chose end of August because that is the deadline for Clinton to repay her $11 million to herself with party funds. I suspect that the final answer will hinge on the VP decision and her support of whatever ticket is finalized. Let me know what you think and I will be happy to amend. I appreciate your input a great deal.

Thank you for the correction. Question should have read "recieve the death penalty" rather than actually executed? Current stats have Texas @ 402 for the year activity was slowed pending recent Supreme Court decision on lethal injections, so I was speculating a catch-up phase. I would welcome any input or info towards correcting the question to more accurately reflect the correct status.
great info from todays NYT re: global food crisishttp://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/17/business/worldbusiness/17warm.html?ex=1366171200&en=72dbbedf7fa87c7c&ei=5124&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink.
Though not a huge advocate for Hillary, I believe her tears were authentic as she is very emotionally invested in this race and this lends to a high probability of a repeat incident before the end of the primary.
No doubt, this is a question that attracts the above average citizen as it requires adequate and accurate information with all mitigating factors taken into account rather than hasty generalizations. Therefore, I conclude that it is highly unlikey that this topic will surface in the upcoming debate and if in the unlikely event that the issue is broached, it will be from Obama.
