As a resident of Arizona and a retired CBP Officer I know that Sheriff Joe Arpaio is following Federal guidelines and is using deputies trained by ICE and CBP. He is so effective that even the local news programs that criticize him have reported illegals are leaving Arizona for more hospitable areas.
