I only just watched Daniel's audition video - but had to switch off half way through (couldn't be caught crying in the office!). Suddenly I have a new found respect for the guy.
There's no way he'll resign. He's got a 3 yr contract worth £18m. He's paid £500k per month. Why would he resign? Also, the two of them are purely being used as scapegoats. It's the production team who were at fault for letting it be broadcast IMO.

When I created this question, I didn't know when there would be an announcement made regarding the official verdict of death (accident or suicide). As none of us can find a report to answer this question, one must assume that the final verdict has not yet been made. (The suicide in February took 4 months to return a suicide verdict). Therefore, I think the only option with this question is to reopen it and extend the suspend date. I will set the date for October. If by that date there is no news on this question, then I think it's fair to settle it as "no" at that point.

Hello everyone and many many apologies for the "ungodly" (what a wonderful word!) delay in this question. Following the settlement request I received, I've been going thru the reports with a fine tooth comb and have been been unable to find information that truly settles this question. So I will have to reopen it.
To clarify, I do not think that the intention of the question creator was to include vertical airspace (i.e. straight up above Iran), so that won't be taken into account. (Please correct me if I'm wrong VnH!)

I've had a flag asking for this to be settled, but it can't be settled yet. Mork's background states that the ruling would happen in the next 2 months at the latest. That would take us up to mid August.
As jenniandboys says, the reports are that the ruling is due to happen "this month", so we need to let it ride until the end of the month at least. As the Rules state that a question can't be suspended longer than 7 days before settlement, I'll reopen this question and put in a suspend date for Aug 24th.

I've edited the option on the Strait of Hormuz, but while ground troops plus aerial & artillery is the common understanding of a full scale attack, I believe the definition included by the question creator is specific enough to prevent settlement issues.

This question has an erroneous suspend date which should in fact be Dec 31st 2008. However, due to technical problems, we're unable to change it right now. We're hoping to be able to fix it soon, but if not will manually suspend it at the end of this year.

I'm going to unsuspend this. The TV programme ("Timewatch" on BBC1) which is behind the dig isn't airing until the "autumn" (no date specified yet) and currently they are examining the evidence they found from the dig. If a news story breaks before the programme airs, then we can settle it then, if not, it will be when the programme airs.

Several days, not several weeks FOF. I'm confident that the parents will move pretty darn quickly to get them back. The first 124 were ordered to be returned last Friday. The rest yesterday. IF by the end of June, there is a news story which says that less than 200 have been returned, then by all means I will resettle this, but meanwhile, it's the common sense rule in play.

This question is already set to suspend on Sat 20th Sep 11:59pm PST (22 weeks), the autumn equinox. As this is the astrononmical measurement of the last day of summer, it is only fair to take the astrononmical first day of summer, June 21st, as the beginning of the question (although for UK/Europe most people would go with 1st June being the beginning of summer). Therefore, if the dollar reaches (or exceeds) the figure stated BETWEEN June 1st and Sept 20th, inclusive, it will be settled as yes. If it reaches (or exceeds) the figure only before or after that duration, it will be settled as no.

I've edited this question to include a settlement date of the end of May in the question. The prospective councillor who is proposing the name change is up for election in May. Given the amount of world-wide coverage this story has had, I believe that if they are going to agree to change their name, they will do it by the end of May, but if the decision hasn't been announced by then, this will be settled as "No".

As always, the wonderful randburg makes a valid point. The definition of "peaceful" I'd proposed above does refer to the torch being interfered with. My thinking was that it will be hard to agree where to draw the line between what constitutes a minor protest and a major one, it was also based on the fact that the question does refer to the interference with the torch in London.
There will of course be protestors. I'm happy to go with your suggestion of:

Yes, there should have been an "Other" option I guess. If it's reported that they donate part of it to charity, then it will be settled as either outcome Green or Yellow, depending on whether it was full or partial repayment.

I can see you're frustrated that you had to wait for settlement here, although to be fair, it looks like the first settlement request came thru at 3.05am PST on Sunday evening/Monday morning and it was settled 4.5 hrs later. The admin staff only work part-time and while they do check in at regular points throughout the day, it's not always possible to settle things immediately.
This situation will improve when user settlement functionality is introduced in the next few months, but until then, please be reassured that we do respond to all settlement requests.

I'm no expert on this matter, so if anyone knows better, then please correct me. What I think it means is that if the strike proceeds it would be a full strike, i.e. in terms of the number of people who will go on strike, the number of people who actually voted is relevant. If it is agreed that the strike proceeds, all union members will be expected to strike.
The question is, will they agree that this is a sufficient number of votes for the strike to go ahead.

"by March 31st", according to the Hubdub Rules, actually INCLUDES March 31st. "Before March 31st" would not include March 31st. Therefore, this question will be suspended at 23.59 PST Mar 31st and can be settled after that.
How about, we settle it as "Yes" if Bruce Wayne dies OR if Batman dies OR if Bruce is unwilling to continue as Batman and nobody else takes on the character.

OK, this has been suspended for almost 24 hrs and there is still no consensus on the best way to settle it. (1 void now, 1 leave it to the BBC and then void, 1 it doesn't matter). I'm currently leaning towards re-opening and leaving it until after Thursday to see if any independent figures are released (chances are pretty slim, but you never know). Please note, we've had problems with a question like this before in that the home page is updated throughout the day. So when the settlement request was sent, the picture/headline was (allegedly) there, but by the time a Hubdub admin checked it, it wasn't there. Predict on this one at your peril...!
Orlin - thanks for the settlement request. The only problem is that when I go onto the website, that story is not (or no longer) on the home page, so the only way I could settle as Yes is if you or someone else were to provide me with a screenshot of what the home page looked like at 4am GMT today.
