Check this out...Follows is a copy of an email exchange between myself and a Mr. Bobby Darie who live in Alberta. I "met" Mr. Darie by finding him online as one of only 27 players on the Deadline news quiz (a Facebook application) that was ahead of me on; overall points, overal % correct guesses on news and best scoring [fastest correct answers]. So naturally we have a affinity right off. Chatted back and forth the past couple of days and like any good male rivalry he started talking smack tonight and challenging me to 'catch' him. Natuarlly I accepted and challenged him to better my 30 day accrual from $1K HD to $20K HD. Looks like he will likely join.

-- but I think the "reason" for un-suspending the market, as well as the action itself is, well, sloppy.

The creator of that question set the Suspension Date he wanted -- and even made a comment in the market thread: "early suspension makes it a prediction market and not a cash cow".

As it looks to me, ONE USER complained that they wanted their money (as recorded in the "Settlement Requests") -- and based on that, the question was unsuspended. That's the way it looks to me, from where I sit. And, it did get gamed up to the obvious "win" in the last day(s) -- exactly what the creator of the question didn't want to happen!

I created a question a little while ago about Barack and Hillary bowling ... that question has an early suspend date too. Who gets to decide if that Suspend Date gets "overturned" because someone wants their H$ out?

It's challenging enough on this board when markets aren't clear. When they are clear, and then are destroyed by admins, it's a shame.

FWIW, as you likely know, the user of this question has created a ton of questions on HD. In the past couple of days he had at least two of his markets wrongly changed by admins. I haven't seen any posts from him since. I don't know if there's a cause and effect relationship there or not.
