I thought about making an Evan Tanner question or two but I just wanted to forget about the whole thing. He was one of my favorite fighters. October is going to be great for MMA fans. Hey mrp, I just wanted to make you aware of some action taken on my over/under questions since you are the cat editor for sports. I created several o/u questions for this weeks NFL. I was not happy to find all my pictures changed and also received an email about how the "hubdub admin/superusers" would like me to tag my questions. I had created dozens of these questions during preseason and was excited to get regular season started. It would have been different if someone explained to me why they would like me to tag my questions with particular keywords, etc. Although I think the NFL landing page looks amazing and I commend all of you for your efforts, I am clueless as to the direction its trying to take. I think when I was asked to change my tags or they were ummmm "fixed" an explaination at that time would have not only been considerate but would have made me more willing to comply and help develop the NFL page in to the vision you all have for it. I wouldnt have had a problem with trying to tag the questions in a way you all desire, if some one had at least given me a reason to. I thought the keywords I was using (team names, over under, line...etc) were sufficient.
As far as the pictures go, I feel like they should have been left alone. I had my reasons for the pictures I used. If the admin team didnt like them for whatever reason and intended to change them, a heads up would have been nice, instead I got an explaination after the fact. Just wanted to make you aware.

I really like your fifth grader question and am looking forward to hearing the outcome. Unfortunately, it is pretaped, which is against hubdub rules. I am still sore that we had to eliminate the Deal or No Deal questions for the same reason, even though it is for the common good to avoid pretaped shows...The outcomes are definitely fun to bet on, but there are teasers out there and I reluctantly accept that there can be leaks...but these are fun shows to bet on.

Jenni is trying to figure out an exception for your question. That would be great if it could be done, but then we would have to look for an exception for EVERY pretaped show event outcome question...I would like to see the return of the Deal or No Deal questions but realize and accept the possible problems involved...

Everything is cool, your observant noticing I usually post em a few days ahead of time. I was actually waiting to see if anyone else wanted to post some. I hope these questions aren't too much of a hassle. It takes me less than 5 minutes to request the settlements on all of them each day- hopefully settling them is as easy for you.
Recently, however, you have already settled most of them by the time I log on at night and I haven't had to put in the settlement request. Thanks for that.

Thanks for the shout and letting me know you like the challenges. I wouldnt want people to feel bombarded with challenges, so I dont send out challenges for every question (or to everyone on my list either). Also, I wouldnt be offended by anyone not accepting them. Additionally, I wouldnt want you to compromise your position by accepting the ones you should steer clear of.
As far as the o/u football ones, I think I will continue to create them. They have already gotten alot of action and I am anticipating more with the start of the regular season.

That this original field of 35 countries has been narrowed to a field of 12 now. I believe there is an additional round of matches before that will determine the participating teams competing at the 2010 World Cup Tournament in Africa.

I was trying to forecast, from this original batch of 35 countries, how many would actually play IN the tournament, in Africa, and how many of THOSE teams would have red, white and blue in their flags.

Thus far it looks like this:

1. Cuba – yes
2. Guatemala – no
3. Trinidad & Tobago – yes
4. USA – yes
5. Canada – no
6. Honduras – no
7. Jamaica – no
8. Mexico – no
9. Costa Rica – yes
10. El Salvador – no
11. Haiti – yes
12. Suriname – no

That would be 5 of the remaining 12 have red, white and blue. Admittedly, I may have completely misunderstood the logic and protocols for this event, if I have, I apologize. I hope this explains what my intent was. Feel free to probe further if this remains unclear.

Guess it’s obvious that these types of markets helped to usher in the 90 and then 100 character market size threshold, eh? lol

yes, I did. I was certain to lose with 30 min to go. So I thought "what the heck" and put in another two cents.
In total I got 18K on that option, nothing on any other in the end.
3 min before close I just put an extra 10K on it: I gained a huge 80 H$ with that - hehe.

Hey mistahperfekto thanks for digging up the outcome to my fake bull testicle question - I did had a dig around, and couldn't find it online - appreciate your local sourcing. I mailed Destry, but for some reason he didn't respond! I'd be proud to live in a state with a senator nutty enough (sorry) to propose a ban on plastic testicles, which beats hands down fluffy dice in my opinion.

hehe, today was way better than yesterday (although i didn't have stakes at 5%, mine were at 30-40%, but i made around 15K with them alltogether).
btw: make your replies at my profile, i could miss them otherwise.

Had several questions going (close up or down; where will dow close; and point difference) and changed positions several times...overall, I'd guess I ended up up about H$20k :)
Most of that came with 1 or 2 questions though that I was able to wager on at around 5% or so. Was a pretty good day!
I've had plenty of really bad ones, so was nice to have a good day!
