Thnx, it's a style I use when I'm negotiating with people for contracts, I had a customer who was languishing and leaving $ on the table so I sent him an envelope of Monopoly money every week for a month prior to a meeting with him, when I finally met with him, he said, "OK, wise guy, what's with the funny money?" "That is the money that you're leaving on the table by not signing this contract." It's too easy for Americans to roll over on these big nameless budget items, but translate it to their lives and they'll begin to pay attention. Kind of like an employer that I heard about that paid his folks in literal cash, not checks, green backs... first window was the Gross payw window, then they proceeded to the next window where they had to literally hand back the witholding allotments, again, in cash.

Guess what, they began to take an interest in Fed Income Tax, Social Security, Benefits premiums, etc.

Imagine that.

Here's a way that might make this more tangible and easily understood... Let's say the $30B amount results, a market could be constructed that presented a range of "liabilities" per US citizen from a low of $20B to a high of $40B, then take the US population, I believe it's around 300M these days and ask the question..."What is the net effect/per citizen of this global welfare program?" I think if you asked the average person to give an ADDITIONAL $1,000 to some unaccountable foreign entity they would likely not be enthused.

D,

May I impose on you for some links to read up on this "Will Barack Obama's plan to redistribute American wealth on a global level become a law this year?", further?

My solution for global warming was to insulate the cold lines of my ac... now my SUV blows cold idling at stop lights!!!

I say let's use their crazy arguments agains them. For instance, the power company where I live always includes "global warming" propaganda with their bills... how we are supposed to alter our life styles, and make "earth friendly choices". I want to tell them that sending bills through the US Postal system is very unfriendly to the environment and probably contributes to global warming too! Same for taxes and fees imposed by the government, and bad laws. In fact, I KNOW that this law imposed by the California Supreme court to decree same gender marrages is going to make the ENVIRONMENT REALLY HOT for those who get involved!

INDEED! Here! Here! as they say in England...

We have to take back the language, there is hardly anything that isn't waved under the banner of Global Warming these days, the ultimate Boogey Man.
