hey sdchargers- Thanks for the compliments and information you left in the shout. I was upset last night after receiving an email about the o/u market. Although the email itself wasnt rude, I didnt appreciate the way things were handled. I think if the admin/super users are going to ask favors from the question creators, they should provide us with information and explaination for the request. The way the email was worded, it appeared as if I had incorrectly tagged my questions, which I had not. I would have been more willing to do the requested tagging if someone had provided me with a reason.
Now being aware of the reason, I think hubdub should try to implement some sort of auto tagger. Maybe as soon as a team name is posted, hubdub can offer some suggested tags. As a creator, we can just click the ones we would like to use (instead of having to type them all in). A feature like that would be helpful to the creators, the hubdub team as well as HDrs looking to wager on certain questions. Maybe that is something they can consider.
As far as my pictures getting changed, I was really ticked off about that. I had my own reasons for using the pics/icons I was using. I wanted my own questions and market to be uniform. I wanted the O/U questions to be easy to identify so they can easily be found or avoided. I thought using one pic for each game day would make sorting the questions a bit easier. I think if admin did not like my pictures or the way I was doing them, they should have discussed it with me. It felt like a slap in the face for all the time I have put in to creating questions(of all people, I know you are aware of the effort that goes in to that)to log on and see every picture had been changed to someone else's liking and it also mixed my questions right in making them actually harder to identify. That was a bit frustrating.
Anyhow, thanks again for the shout and for all the work and time you put in to this. It is appreciated by many.

Yes, there has been lots of talk and craziness with the whole Brett Favre scene. People have even gone out of their way to ask me where my children's Jets Favre jerseys are (they were still wearing Shockey, Giants ones). I tell you some fans really take all of this maddness very seriously! I think the preseason game with Favre facing the Giants (tonight) will be very interesting.

Being a New Yorker, I have to say my favorite team is Giants. It was exciting to see them progress last season and actually make the Super Bowl. It was even better to see them beat the Patriots (hate them!).
It looks like your Chargers have an all around solid team and I would have to agree with you on them going all the way for AFC. As far as the Cowboys (another team I cant stand) go, if TO and Romo get their stuff together, I would also have to agree with you on the Cowboys making it for NFC. (although Id like to see Giants there again, I think it would be a struggle)
If this is the way things turn out, I would be happy to see the Chargers become Super Bowl champs. I guess we will have to wait and see how it all pans out.

Hey! thanks for the shout you left a few days ago. I have been pretty busy lately and didnt have a chance to reply until now. I wanted to let you know, tater and I will do the best we can to get the MLB questions posted. We will try to do them at least the day before, if not, two days before. We really like being able to wager on EVERY game and its nice for other users to know they can wager on their favorite teams. We will also keep the O/U market going for NFL. I agree, I think those will be even more popular with the regular season starting. So we will also try to keep up with those.
We know you have been busy doing SUPER stuff...and I might add, doing a SUPER job at it. I noticed you requesting settlements and I see your screen name everywhere now, so thank you for that!

Sorry to hear you went through a similar situation with other markets you created. The questions were well constructed and you, also, did all the right things by following up with "conclusions" and requesting settlement, etc. There has been alot of talk about upcoming football season. I think football questions are going to be very popular. If the admin is already starting to feel overwhelmed by baseball ones, I cant imagine what football season will bring. It would be great if you voiced your opinions and offered some suggestions. You are like the top question creator for sports and in my opinion have done excellent keeping up with it all and producing questions daily. Please read the discussion and feel free to leave your input, the more people involved the better the outcome will be. Unfortunately the email and password doesnt automatically carry over to that site but the only way it will let you comment is by creating an account.(I also had a hard time figuring out my password for it, until I requested it, and changed it...just to give you heads up!)Now that I have been using that site more, it was worth the bit of trouble it gave me. Anyhow, I hope you decide to participate!

Thanks for the shout. I appreciate your support and saying I did things right. Its tough to come up with variations of sports questions, but I am with you on the idea of running markets for a while and seeing the interest increase. I really think the sidebets help create interest and promote users to place more wagers (isnt that one of the ideas of the site?)
I know there are alot of other questions out there with alot less action than the ones I've been making. I felt picked on and singled out and in my opinion, it sounded more like the admin was trying to say some markets arent "worth" the hassle of settling them. I am doing my best to help them out.

I just recently got hooked on your daily BB matchups although it pains me to pick against the Giants over and over again (except when Lincecum or Cain are on the mound). One of my friends lost a fortune in one weekend putting huge H$ on bad picks. :-)

I found a couple great sites for swimming, but the other sports are definitely harder.. My goal for the weekend is to do some more track and field questions. Hey sdchargers (aka noNutz), thanks for the postings. Tater and I had joined this site just a few weeks ago. We thought it was a pretty neat place to do some predictions. We both really enjoy the sports questions and when we first started there seemed to be only a handful of them to bet on. We decided to give creating questions a shot so that we can make predictions on more games. Anyhow, we wanted to let you know that we are fine with you creating them. If ever you need or would like some help with it, let us know. The only reason we had stopped that time was because we were out of town a few days. As far as "when" to post questions we were pretty much doing them the evening before so that we could figure out accurate likeliness percentages (estimating using teams winning percentages). Posting too far in advance may result in unfair odds.

Yeah I saw them. I submitted images for almost all the games for tomorrow and will work on the ones for 6/25 tomorrow morning. I didn't want to overwhelm the temporary guy filling in for Donal. I agree we need these questions in advance. I think the odds are very fair. Plus I just dig the format you use for writing questions. Very clear and concise.

I've enjoyed your prediction questions, although sports is not my best area. And it's been great fun watching you charge ahead! As a "charger" you are well and deservingly named...You are going to be in the top five very soon.

Hubdub doesn't really reward us for not using surplus cash, so I invest it! End result is that you win a lot, but when you lose: you lose a lot. In the end, it could be the same. Certain days when questions are not overly inspiring, it can be difficult to invest heavily. Other days, it seems to fall into place. (And then you land on your head. LOL).
